Our Story
The Early Days
Vin De Pasquale opened The Dock Restaurant on Friday the 13th, 1976… but nothing was unlucky about that day. When the doors first opened for business, there were over 200 people waiting in line. Naples was just a sleepy little fishing village back then – with a city population of 12,000. From the very beginning though, The Dock was something special.
That something special soon turned into a local landmark, attracting both residents and visitors alike. People have always been drawn to the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere and the glimmering waters of Naples Bay.
A New Beginning
After 43 years, Vin decided to step away from The Dock and entrusted its future to close family friends (and Naples locals). The father-son team were longtime guests turned owners and set upon breathing new life into the space – honoring the iconic tradition and history of The Dock while complementing the restaurant with a refreshed look and an elevated food and bar program.
In it’s next act, The Dock is both old and
new again. And the best thing will never
change – the glimmering waters of
Naples Bay and a restaurant that
transports you to another place. We
